Cross Country skiing just doesn't get any better!  Pagosa Springs has over 50 km of groomed cross country ski trails -  for skate and freestyle skating.  And, they're all free to use.

Approximately 65 percent of this land is either San Juan National Forest or Southern Ute Indian land. This provides privacy and quality of life. People gather at the Hot Springs, one of the largest and hottest natural springs in the world, and is celebrated for its therapeutic powers, The Utes called the sulfur-rich mineral springs "Pah gosah" meaning "healing waters" and visitors from all over the world come to enjoy its hot baths, The Springs are a natural complement to the Pagosa Springs area's year round recreational activities.

Come autumn, the area is a popular destination for hunters, who harvest elk, deer, and other game animals. Boating on nearby Navajo Lake is legendary. No crowds here, just 31 miles of pure water stretching into New Mexico. There is also a 27-hole championship golf course where the Continental Divide creates a dramatic backdrop for your game. Chimney Rock Indian Ruins offer a lesson in American history as well as a breath-taking look over the valley below.
